Callao, Missouri | A year or so ago I was standing beside our machine shed early one morning when a coon dog went trotting by with a 15lb pig in hot pursuit. We had no dogs or pigs previously.
Luckily my wife came walking up just as the duo ran by or everyone would have told me I was crazy.
So I walked around the house to find the pair still moving in a general westward direction. I was able to catch the pig and put him in a cat food sack. Turns out the neighbors had been having trouble keeping the coon dog at home (running through its shock collar) and the pig thought the dog was his best buddy so he broke out of jail as well.
I took the pig back to its pen and while the young owner and I were looking at something inside the pen the pig found its opportunity to escape once again. As I left for home the pig was once again giving everyone a run for their money.
