Warrenton, NC | The new gray coated hardware that Vermeer and many manufactures are having to use now doesn't stay tight. We use a wire brush on a bench grinder to remove the coating or use a different version of the bolt. I guess this new style of hardware coating doesn't kill you in California but it sure causes problems.
If the teeth of one bar are hitting the bar below it, the bar is flexing. Slowing down the basket RPM's will reduce the flexing. This has been the main cause of bar issues in the R series rake. It certainly could be loose hardware and bearings. | |
