SW TX PANHANDLE | We are cow/calf and stocker people. Nhtc is one of the programs we do along with gap4, all natural and something else(all start running together). On the stocker side, we found the nhtc by itself isn’t worth much, if any, premium today. Was better for us 5-6 years ago. With all the programs together, it’s definitely worth while. Been selling these cattle on superior sale for 15-20 cwt over regular commodity cattle. Although now have figured out they need to all be black as it gives more potential buyers. Just my 2 cents. | |
