There’s one fellow here who feeds out several thousand lambs. I see he feeds a pile of silage each year. Not sure if it’s alfalfa or cereal silage though.
A neighbour used to feed his sheep wrapped alfalfa silage bales.
I can’t see why it wouldn’t work good but, I have no first hand experience.
