Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I don't remember the details but I thought I saw something like this some years ago when I worked as a Tech. I never had the problem personally since I was using an Ag Leader display in the planting tractor.
I think the problem is related to the fact that you are using a non Ag Leader display. What you are trying to do should certainly be possible but there may be some minor trick that you are missing. Hopefully someone with the same equipment will chime in.
When using an Ag Leader display for this, the crop type comes along with the information since when you create a new variety, you must choose what the crop type is such as corn or soybeans.
I don't know if other systems have that and when the data is processed with SMS, it may need to be entered in some fashion.
