Interesting.
Are the sprigs harvested similar to sod?
Did you terminate the existing grass? Anytime I’ve tried seeding into existing grass the results have been terrible.
Does the drill open a slot and drop the sprigs in it? Any pics of the opener?
Basically disc up sod (roots) and run it through the sprigger. Here's some more pics
They do make a Bermuda root digger which would be better ,would have less to no dirt mixed in the roots
