Southeast WI | We've had plenty of rain the past 6 weeks so covers have been let go to grow and plant green. However it's been so cold in March, April and first week of May most of the rye is only 8-10" now. Some years you can't win. It's still doing it's job holding soil in place. Fairly N deficient as I'm seeing green splotches all over. Deer have been fertilizing in spots and that rye is significantly larger.
