Subject: TeeJet 801 flow meter on Reddick boom sprayer

North Carolina
I'm setting up a GRC on a new Reddick 3pt sprayer for customer. I added a TeeJet 801 flow meter in the system but having major issues calibrating meter. It is installed within linear spec fore/aft per TeeJet specs. The tag says "82" for cal number but that was nowhere close. I did a catch test (1 nozzle) about 3 times and got it close (200 oz target vs. 218 oz actual). This put the cal factor around 25,000. But when I went to the field to spray, my applied rate on display was less than 1 gpa when target was about 10 gpa. It is not a 1 gal vs. 10/gal pulse issue, I am sure. The boom was producing a respectable rate/pattern visually, so I know the flow meter cal is way off somehow. When I try to enter a manual calibration, the max number it allows manually is 9999 but I think this is too low.

Looking for guidance from someone who may be running a similar setup.

Thanks,
MT
