Minnesota/Kentucky fertility based on ENERGY | I was getting the last parts for the 8640 and 726 finishers and traveling around Friday with lots of activity. We started working on everything for the first time. It worked well, and I moved to a new farm of 290 acres just south of Rochester. Son ran 6 hours, I got to take over, and within an hour, by 10:00 pm, I hit quicksand (and yes, there is such a thing in SE Minnesota 30 years ago, one side of the lime trucks in the quicksand and the other side of trucks in dry dirt) took one hour. The local towing company went 1/2 mile into the field and, with some help from the old 8640, 10 minutes on dry ground. Took Holly for late lunch in Trempealeau, WI, to Sullivan’s to the old-fashioned dinner club. We were heading home to see if we could work a little more as we have 160 acres to work up before the next rain.
