Subject: RE: Hydraulic implement switch

South Georgia
I have a homemade implement switch ion my grain drill that works well. It is basically it is a shaft rotation sensor on the drill's hex shaft. I use the same basic design to automate the in-furrow liquid setup on my planter.

I have the relay housed in a small plastic enclosure on the implement. I get power from the +12V pin in drill's trailer light connector. To connect to my Fmx, I just unplug the implement lift switch (already installed on the tractor and wired to the FmX) and plug my contraption in. Works very well. I really like that there is no "special" wiring involved. I just plug in the 7 Pin round light connector and the Implement switch, all on the back of the tractor. The same design could be used on anything that has a rotating shaft. This isn't a commercially available kit, but I would imagine that someone like Sensor1 or Ag Express might build it for you.
