Summit is going through here too. Iowa is different (based on the comments here) - once they file papers with utility board THEY have the RIGHT to be on YOUR ground, before the final project is even approved. Total crock. Theyre supposed to pay for damages to crops. If you interfere with them they can call the sheriff or state patrol and have you removed from YOUR land. I would tell you that here they are getting some land owners to sign on, theyre around 36% of owners signed on, another one has virtually none. The rumors I've heard, Summit is paying pretty decent compared to the other one coming through the area.
