I have a Davis Vantage Pro2 and about 1/8 mile away I have a "professional" rain gauge. They are always very close. Yesterday, on a 1.5" rain, they were within .08". The tipping bucket on Valley AgSense units are also Davis and were within .15" which I find acceptable because they are all further away.
