If the coverage maps is saw-toothed, you need to check the implement setup page on the 500. Having the hitch to ground contact distance set wrong will make the map display like that.
It's been 15 + years since I messed with mine and I'm not exactly a youngster so the terminology may not be exactly correct but it should get you pointed in the right direction to help.
