I would say, without a Brookings Institute study, that Intrest rates control inflation moreso than the price of oil. Money has gotten so cheap that you are crazy not to buy now and borrow the money to pay for it later....That is until the Fed has announced several rate increases. Even with increases, anything less than 7% interest is a gift. They will need to raise more to slow down this thing. 14% might.
