NW IL | Looks like a correlation of other years compared to the start of this one for Dec corn price. I guess the thing I see is that some years hit the high about now and dropped, others hit a high later on. Few kept the season high past harvest.
Not really much behind the scenes stuff to compare to this season though, in terms of geo-politics, inflation, and global and domestic weather events.
Edit: correction, 2004 was the only other year to start this way and hit a high by this time. All the other years in this graph hit highs in May or later.
