C IL | The median taxpayer (not sure of this is single or includes joint returns) is a bit over $44K AGI in 2019. Recall AGI is taxable income less alimony, half of SE tax if self-employed, and tax-deductible IRA contributions and the like (traditional IRA). So median in 2019 looks well under <$50K income.
