Same here. I hate ham steaks. Ham steak is cured. They're always too salty and dry. Wife buys them once in a while for scalloped potatoes and ham, and that's ok, but that's about all ham steak is good for, IMO.

Pork steak (or "fresh ham steak") is just the ham area of the hog, uncured, and sliced like a steak.
