So then with interest rates rising do plans go on as expected, or build something more modest that’s affordable? In other words could there be more 2k sq for houses built than 3k sq ft for the same families? That 2k is now the same price as the 3k was 2 years ago so maybe people settle for less? Demand for materials would be reduced some. Maybe it won’t happen that way.
Edit to add: I think you could be correct in the short term rising rates may push inflation, but have we already seen that? A lot of folks rushing to buy/build the last 2 years while rates were cheap. I don’t know.
