NW Indiana | Many estimates have houses 3 million short of demand. With Millennial's being the largest portion of the population now they are buying homes while having fewer kids. So instead of a family of 6 in a home it is now a family of 4 while the population has still increased. We under built demand for over a decade following 2008 and still have a major shortage of people in the trades. I've seen estimates that it will take 8-10 years to work this out of the system. | |
