Unfortunately alot won't and they will lose their ass when prices tank.
Well the ones that locked in at 20 are paying margin calls up the ass, currently. I personally think, you will over a 10-20 year period will have a incredibly hard time beating the daily avg. class 3 price. On our farm if we never ever dabbled in milk futures we would be money ahead. Like a couple new pickups ahead.
DMC is completely different all dairy farmers should be signed into that. |
