How will you explain $8.00 and $17.00 to your landlords?

How would you guarantee a certain amount of bushels? Let’s say you agree to give them 50 bushels. At $8 that’s $400/acre, at $16 in that scenario that’s $800/acre. At $3 it’s $150/acre and they likely wouldn’t be happy. Do you truly believe you could make money if you’re paying $800/acre for land? Would that make it $30,000+ per acre on auctions? I’m not questioning you because I think you meant it as put the ball in their court to make or break their rent, I’m just pointing out the ugly. I think In a scenario like that, we’d all be in trouble. Let’s hope this scenario doesn’t happen because the tail end of that will be long and extremely ugly. I don’t want to be a downer, but the higher we go, the uglier it’s going to be on the backside.
