East central Iowa, Camanche, Iowa | I have not had cattle on the farm since 1980 and I used own a retail meat shop in the 70's when most of my beef came in on a rail. I built a meat cooler/processing area in one of my barns to process freezer beef for local folks. I built it to pass all sanitary requirements and it will be a licenses facility.
Last fall I bought a few head of cattle that will be ready in mid May. (Note: these cattle are in a different barn.) I will be selling them direct to customers for freezer beef processing them in my "new" facility.
I am looking for current beef carcass prices. Any help would be appreciated.
