Looking to rebuild the deck plates on a Fantini corn head. Looking at 3/8 rod. What is a good abrasion resistant steel to use? Needs to be bendable with heat and weldable. Nothing but cold roll local so Looking at Mc master car. I see 52100 but that’s sounds hard to weld? Hardened 1040? 1045? Or?? Thanks.
