I too use Office 365 Family.  One year MS put it on sale for $20 and I bought 5 years of use for  $100, the subscriptions are stackable.  One of the best deals I ever bought.  If you get the Family product, it's the same as Personal 365, except you can share it with up to 6 people and they can put it on 5 devices each.  I share mine with my grand kids.  Be careful where you buy, if you buy from Amazon they want to control your subscription, which I don't like.  The one terabyte of storage for each devise is a nice bonus. 

I know you are a vet and one of the best places to get Office 365 Family is the online exchange It's $69 per year there and goes on sale for $40 pretty often.
