Texas | There’s a bobcat 974 at an auction in the morning. Looks like it’s been parked 10 years. (Everything there does) no details. Complete, doesn’t look like the keys even been turned. It’s parked like it was just never used again maybe after an old man died.
Anyways without any details what’s it worth to take a chance on? Perkins 4 cylinder. Scrap value is about $1000 on it today locally. Thinking I’ll buy it if I just have to fight a scrapper. Auction is a scrapper type auction, nothing that works, bunch of old cars and incomplete 4 row junk, poorly advertised, just a couple hours worth of treasures. I’m not expecting a crowd.
I’m going for a 1070 case tractor that would take a chainsaw to rescue. It’s got 6-7” trees grown up around it. Foot of rats nest in the cab. But looks like someone just parked it and never got back in it. I need it for parts or fix I guess. | |
