Parker, SD | Looking at quitting my paycheck job driving truck to farm full time. Looking for ideas for extra income jobs you guys have, especially in the winter months. We've dabbled in the custom work, planting, strip-till, spraying, drain tile. All viable sources of extra income. The issue is they're going on the same time we have our own work to do. Be nice to fill these dry months of boredom with something extra. We feed a few cows, <100, talked about expanding there but with $6 corn does it work and even still Short of a 4 digit sized operation the work load is minimal most days. | |
