Central MN | We have one for a year now. Jury still out, it does a nice job, but idk if it's any faster then just spreading with a bale fork. Nice that you can split a bale between 2 pens rather than always using a full bale in each.
Need a big skid we have a 289D High flow XPS and tight bean straw brings it to it's knees, shooting 20ft tops. Small grain straw it will throw 40 ft with ease. Cornstalks somewhere in between.
A fella I talked to incorporated combine copper knives into his and I think that would help tremendously on those tight stringy bean straw bales.
100hp skid with lots of hydraulic flow and maybe I could tell you we love it.
