I’ve had gout over 20 years. Allurpurinal or however you spell it will mostly stop the attacks. But it’s not a fast treatment. Stop all alcohol, fried foods immediately. Everyone I know has certain triggers that cause it. For me it’s pork and alcohol. Seafood and beef never any issues. Load up on Aleve if you can and stay off it. It won’t get better if you keep moving. Oddly I never had it in big toes about every other joint, mostly knees. A z-pack with get it the best if you could somehow get a prescription or prednisone. Feel for you it, hurts and sucks since your on vacation.
