I remember when dad got mom a set of those for Christmas during the farm crisis. I will never forget first she cried and then told all of us kids we were to never ever touch them. Mom sewed almost everyday and kept my sisters in dresses and me and little brothers jeans and coveralls patched up good. Mom still has the scissors to this day and says they are still sharp.
