durallymax - 12/6/2021 10:13 The X1 Extreme is always a current model, the X1s go off generation. I think the Carbon is into 10th, Yoga into 5th. Not sure what version extreme is on. The carbon is nice for travel, long battery life but limited in what you can have for specs. Some of them offer a Dolby vision screen with 500 nits, I paid for that upgrade as I'm often programming outside at the cabinet. It's great, downside is that it's a glossy screen. Don't wear safety colored shirt or your bright screen will just be a mirror of yellow. I wouldn't want any less than 16GB anymore, seems like even that struggles somedays.
Thanks. Are you saying you're also a fan of the X1 Extreme?
To me it sounds like the P series is a bit more bulky and more focused on cooling and being able to take it apart and upgrade it which reminds me of my T430. How upgradable is the X1 Extreme?
Wonder what the Dell equivalents to the X1 Extreme and the P15 Gen 2 and P1 Gen 4 are? I wonder if the Dell Precision series is kinda competing with the last two and the XPS is maybe competing with the X1 Extreme?
