Subject: Custom feeding cows questions


N. Montana		Asking for a friend- is there anybody here on AgTalk that custom feeds cows up to calving?

Friend has silage, facilities, labor and equipment.

1. What would be a reasonable rate per head per day? would the rate change yearly based on feed costs?

2. Who pays for treatment and vet fees should there be any? fatalities?

3. How about insurance- is it needed?

any pointers would be appreciated
