Subject: RE: C15 Cat boost

Sparta, WI

Here was my project last winter. 06' Pete with a C15 MXS that I rebuilt (I pulled engine and sent it out of house) had 16:1 pistons put in, singled and deleted IVA's and set at 625. 50psi is normal on an Acert with twins. These engines can handle power but in your case if it still has the stock pistons that are 18:1, I would absolutely not delete the IVA's. You will be getting familiar with replacing head gaskets. I'm very surprised your Cat guy didn't say anything. I would think that with high comp pistons, a hot tune, and no IVA's that your cylinder pressures are off the charts. I'm no engine builder though. Oh, and put a pyro in that thing!
