Many a drawbar that wasn't supported have been broken by those unverferth carts. We put the aftermarket supports on all of our tractors pulling 1000+ carts. I will run a full one on the scales here sometime. Probably 7k. So 42,880 on the axle. Sorry I underestimated. Actually if it was dc milo it was probably less than 40k.



Are you figuring the weight of the cart? It’s on the bridge too.

OP said 850-900 bushels on it, so figure 875 x 56# and that’s 49,000 just in grain weight. The cart itself is likely another 12,000, which is conservative with that scale suspension setup and homemade extensions, so now we are at 61,000. Then take off some tongue weight, which under no circumstance is going to be enough to be under 40k on the bridge.
