To start with - I do NOT want this to turn political.
I would like to catch a flight for business. As I understand it, you cannot fly unless you wear a mask due to a current executive order. I also understand you *can* get a medical exemption. After wearing a mask for a half hour I get a little light headed and short on breath.
From what I can gather, the current process for a medical exemption is that you book your flight and show up an hour early to meet with the airline's/TSA's "virtual medical professional" so they can virtually determine if you "qualify" for an exemption. If you do, great. If not, you are out the cost of your ticket and you are banned from flying (at least with Delta/Alaska) until the executive order expires.
My biggest concern is if they didn't give me an exemption, I am out the cost of my ticket.
Any suggestions on what to do besides forget about flying? If I pay for the ticket with my Discover card and they kick me out, could Discover get me a refund?
