Subject: Preg checks, and milk tests?

SW Wisconsin
What is your experience with the accuracy of standard palpation/ ultrasound preg checks vs. the DHIA milk tests? Out of 56 milking cows I had 13 check open. I had DHIA run milk preg tests on those 13 (most of which I've seen in standing heat) plus 2 others that were/ might have been in heat. Out of 15 samples I got back 1 open, 3 re-check, and 11 pregnant. 1 of the pregnant ones came back with a ratio way out of line with the rest (2.6 vs. 0.27-0.59), and that one happens to be one that was checked pregnant and I only sent the sample in because I saw mud on her sides like she might have been mounted. 9/13 that the vet said were open came back pregnant with the milk test. No possibility they got pregnant in between. What am I looking at here? Would high components throw the test off?
