Subject: RE: IH4186's Farming and Time Post......

SW Indiana
Grandpa and dad farmer in WKY when I was little and retired/quit when I was just getting big enough to drive the 3020 a little bit.

What I remember they had was:

IH 1066
MF 1105
JD 3020
Super M
WD45
Plain M
Super C
Ford 601
Farmall Cub
3 bottom IH plow
5 bottom IH plow
4 or 5 4r36” cultivators
8’ Burch disk
21’ JD 220 single wing disk
4 row wide 36” planter
10’ IH Drill
New Holland TR70 combine
4 row wide
13’ platform
1 semi and dump trailer (dad custom spread lime so only got to use the semi for grain once a day)
And a slough of straight trucks and other misc junk.

I started on my own and farm just a little bit in southern Indiana..

Oliver 1850 Diesel
Kinze 2000 6r30”
Oliver 565 4 bottom plow (just a toy)
Burch 8’ Disk (grandpas old disk)
AC 12’ FC (never used it)
JD 4420 Combine
4r30” corn head
13’ platform
Chevy C60

Grandpa and dad were full tillage and usually worked everything to bug dust 2 or 3 times a year. I am almost 100% no till.. I don’t have 60 sows F-F to take care of or tobacco to work with all summer either. I’d say progress has been good on that part!
