central, Il. | I have a component tractor that is alcohol fueled. It is a light superstock. We pull with both Illinois tractor pullers association and Illini State pullers. Now with that said, I have never agreed with a component tractor because yes, it is NOT a real tractor. A component tractor no matter what the fuel source is, is no safer than an actual tractor. It's the horse power that everyone is trying to put through both that makes them unsafe. I have seen component tractors break that are made out of steel and I have seen an actual tractor that is made out of cast iron break also. And I had one of those also. You all need to get on the almighty pulloff.com forum.
