southern nebraska | Southern Nebraska, severe drought this summer, then a week with 3" of rain last week in August. Well bean plants were basically dead but for some reason they greened up but have never died. Long story short is that the guys with auger heads can not combine beans this year period, 9-10% moisture and looks mowing a golf course behind the combine. Stems are not hard green but have some green. So draper guys are cutting same speed green or no green and auger head guys are drinking beers at the local pub because they won't go into the combine. | |
