Subject: Eliminating coil packer by adding rolling baskets to cultivator

SW Ontario
We have a 22' Wil-rich cultivator (C shank with 4 rows of coil tine harrows) that we pull a coil packer behind. The coil packer is about a 12' main frame with two manual swinging hitches for the pup packers. It is a pain to store, hitch together and change fields so we've been thinking about putting rolling baskets on the cultivator instead.

1. Will the rolling basket do a decent job compared to the coil packer?
2. The hitch on the cultivator is already light enough for one guy to pick up, would we have to mount a jack on the back somewhere for parking or is some weight added to the hitch better?
