North of London | Wood is just stored outside.
it is cured but on days like this it is wet on outside.
i know of a couple places where they have the outdoor furnace either opened right into storage or only a could steps from door with a little roof over that short distance.
That would be ideal but ours sits in the open like most I have seen in the area.
Have considered putting a little roof over front of furnace to store wood under but that would only cover a week or two of wood and I have a scarcity of machinery storage so rest would still be outside.
At least the bins stacked 4 high protect the lower ones from most of the weather.
It is a pain in the winter when the blocks freeze together though, I need a crow bar to break them loose | |
