All 8820 combines were intercooler engines. 1979 and 80 models had A series injection pumps. 1981 models got P series and power raised when the 12 row corn heads became available. They are all belt drive water pump equiped and most are crank driven oil pump engines. Be advised the engine blocks will have the larger frame bolt mounting pattern and bolts. They are basically 4840 engines built thru 1988. Hope this helps.
