Black Hawk County, IA | Jerry, pretty good chance your JD oil comes out of the Northland Oil plant here in Waterloo, IA. Northland supplies bulk oil to the tractor and engine works here and to the Deere dealerships as well. I pick up barrels at the plant speced the same as Hygard, and Torq-gard or Plus 50 for usually $100/barrel less than the Deere branded oils. Oil is oil, it’s the additives that make the difference. As long as it meets Deere’s or Cat’s specs, you’ll be fine. J | |
