"Rolling bearings" was necessary 40 years ago when oil was not what it is now, and slobbery engines contaminated the oil with unburned fuel. These 12.9 engines require EVERY bearing insert to be plastigaged to ensure proper clearance, top and bottom. I'd pull an oil sample, and if lead, tin, and copper levels are good, and oil pressure measured with a gauge is good, I would not even consider bearings. Rods and mains in one of these is a huge undertaking.
