I'm sure the blocks are different, but if you go all the way back to the 6.9, the engineers started with the MV446 design, and reduced the bore. The stroke length, and block dimensions are exactly the same on the MV446, 6.9, and 7.3. The 7.3 bore is within a few thousandths of the MV446.
