Subject: Gleaner r series feeder house settings

Need to gleaners. First crop will be corn. The front feeder house drum is set in the high (correct) position but the rear feeder house drum is not. The book is vague and we can’t seem to get the back one adjusted. What is the correct method for switching the blocks/stops over from high to low? We can remove the shocks but the threaded rod with the hex attached to it just spins and doesn’t move in kr out to release tension in the lock nut. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
