Subject: RE: Planting corn with a single disk opener?

I planted a few acres years ago with our sdx 30 that was set up on 15 inch spacing for soybeans plugged every other port on tower an planted setting the cart to get close to 30k stand was the main problem... years ago case ih was experimenting with the sdx an the 955 cyclo air box mounted on the sdx for metering. When I planted with It did good job of seed depth the spacing was the issue with a cyclo box with it I see no reason wouldn't plant every bit as good as a 955 planter... now days with the electric drives for planters out there would be very possible to build your own metering system.
