Subject: Planting corn with a single disk opener?

California Central Valley
Would a single disk opener style work for planting corn in a no-till situation? I know alot of beans get drilled that way but other than the metering why not corn? I ask because of the bourgault air planter and was wondering what kinda stand you would expect compared to a normal planter?
