Use international Alpha numeric system. This year is J . We freeze brand all sale bulls, and all replacement heifers . And put 2 Ritchey engravable tags in those. All calves are tagged with cow ID at birth. Put on sheet that has a list that tells what number will be when permanent ID given to keeping animals.
