Subject: RE: drying soybeans

Holland, Indiana (SW IN)
We've been drying soybeans all this year ---like cutting 17% -have cut as wet as 22%-not much head loss
highest temp we ran was 150 have Super B dryers all heat our dryers don't cool ----just adjust meter roll speed until about 13-14% hot out
Hope they come out of storage at about 13%
Set your bottom seive tighter ---so don't get many unthrashed pods
We have an CIH 8240 Run the top seive 13 bottom on 9 ---1040 fan speed ---rotor set on 6
Run 40%+ on the tailings return but get very few unthrashed pods in the sample

Dan

FWIW I haven't tried to run our dryers on auto
