I’ve been there. Called visa. Reported card holder deceased. They immediately suspended acct. Visa looked up account to see if payments are owed from previous billing cycles. In this case they were paid up. Visa also said any charges in the current billing period would be forgiven with proof of death. Your mileage may vary. That was 4 years ago.
